No Excuses

I can't believe I am already into Week 6...that means I am half way through! I am so happy. While there are still days I dont feel like working out, I still make sure I push play and I always end up Bringing it! I have realized multiple things about myself through this transformation. I love feeling healthier and looking better as I'm sure everyone else does. I am loving it so much that I have been wanting others to get healthy too. It's not because I want to push this program on others but because I have become so happy with my body that I want other people to feel this good too.

I've encountered a few people that aren't happy with themselves and were complaining. I tell them how much I love Team Beach Body, my Team Bombshell and P90X. However, I'm only met with excuses, excuses, excuses. I have heard some doozies of excuses. I correct them where I can about the truths of healthiness but more excuses come out. I dont want to be pushy b/c I want people to want to do it. I want people to come to me b/c they see my results and want to improve their lives. But I can't make them want to do this. They have to want it and have the motivation to do it. I would love to help them on their journey but you can't push someone that isn't ready. So I'm bidding my time and when they are ready I will be here.

I can't believe how many people complain about fad diets and how they don't work, but if a program doesn't have you exercising and eating healthy...IT WONT WORK! Anything that says 'you can eat everything you want,' 'you never need to exercise' wont work. It's not science, its not magic, its not a miracle. It's common sense. Your body needs to work out and exert energy to get fit and stronger. And your body needs the right fuel to make it happen. While there is no magic bullet that will make you skinny in a week (which a lot of people think can happen) as long as you keep exercising and eating right you will see results. I saw results in 30 days. That's awesome and I'm so happy with it. That means I'll see more results at Day 60 and Day 90.

Basically my message is Exercise and Eat Healthy to see results. Stop making excuses and try. Anyone reading this that needs help or has questions, I can help. If I cant, I have a huge support system I can expose you to and bring you in and they can answer your questions. It's like a family.

I work night turn (11pm-7am)  and work 60+ hours a week. This shift is not normal for the human body and it does not like it. I cant fit 8 straight hours of sleep in day. I have to take naps throughout the day. I work the opposite shift as my fiancee so seeing him is a priority. I still need to find time to clean the house, cook, do errands, etc. Yet I work out for an hour plus a day. If I can do with it with a backwards schedule, anyone can. I understand there aren't enough hours in the day but you have to make time. The time you take to sit on your butt watching tv is time you can workout. I would rather workout and relieve my stress versus sitting on the couch letting my stress build up. Make it a family event. So many people on my time workout the same time as their partners and even get their children involved. Its amazing how it can bring you together. I love working out with my fiancee even if we arent doing the same thing. Since he started working out when I do  he pushes harder, tries some of the moves I do, and now we both are eating better. I love it!

That is all for now...I am just so happy with myself that I want everyone else to feel as great as I do!

Do your best and forget the rest!

Day 30 Photos

Ok....I had a lot of debate about putting these photos up for people to see. After talking with my good friend, Kati, she assured me that they are good pictures. So here they are. Obviously the ones on the left are of Day 0 and the photos on the right are my photos from Day 30.

Starting my 5th Week!

I haven't written in a while because this past week was crazy with work, training, and trying to sleep. Luckily it was Week4 which was the recovery week so it was a little more relaxed. However, I did miss one day because I was walking a beat for 4+ hours and with our duty belts, which weight 25 lbs, I knew that would be my workout. I took pictures of one month in. I can see a slight difference. I am hoping for more of a difference in the next month. I am still a little embarrassed to post my pictures so I will probably hold of a little longer. I noticed that my workouts are more intense. I can actually do more reps and push harder. I LOVE IT!!!!!

I started Week 5 out right. I did 20 mins on the elliptical at 500 this morning on my lunch break. I completed BBL - High & Tight and after this I will do my Core Synergistics. I am loving working out, unfortunately I only got 4 hours of sleep because I had court so I will be tried tonight. I am so excited to start Phase 2!!! I am so blessed to have Kati Heifner doing this at the same time I am. I love having our girl work outs on Sundays. My eating as been a little up and down. I got back into eating some sugars I shouldn't. But on my cheat days I've done really well of picking something slightly healthier and only eating half of it. Walt and I have been making dinner at home most nights so that is going much better.

Well I better stop talking and start working out

Do your best and forget the rest!

Week 3 Almost complete!!

I can't believe I am saying it but Week 3 is almost complete for Kati and I. I haven't missed a workout yet the past 3 weeks and I can't believe it. This is the longest that I have gone. In Jan and early Feb as soon as I got to the 2nd week I either got sick, injured, or went on vaca. But now I am on track and I make sure I fit my workout in no matter what. I went to visit my family for a weekend and it's a 5 hour drive, but I had to work thru the night til the morning of the day we left. So I slept for 3 hours, got up, worked out and then drove to Philly. I felt dedicated that day haha. I hated yoga but I went over Kati's house and we did yoga together and it was great. The time went by so much faster. I am so happy to say that I have worked out 21 days straight! I love it!!!!

With all this hard work I am seeing some results. I've lost about 5 lbs since the beginning of Feb. But my biggest accomplishment is that I lost an inch from my chest, stomach, waist, and hips!!!!! I found out at the beginning of Week 3 but I wanted to hold off because I didnt want to jinx myself haha. But I did!! I lost an inch! So I am jumping up and down :)

I ordered Brazil Butt Lift and I am getting tomorrow so I am hoping to use it with Kenpo X. I am pumped!! Another thing that gets me pumped is that my fiancee has been working out with me at the same time doing his own thing. Just having him working out the same time as me makes me feel so good because we are becoming healthier, which means we will be able to live a long happy life together. Another good thing we did was we ate healthier dinners at home for a week straight. Tonight was my cheat dinner. Of course while we were sitting at the restaurant I went to Cheesecake Factory's nutrition menu and looked at what I ordered. I made sure I only ate half my dinner and boxed the rest. So my cheat dinner wasn't so much of a cheat dinner as I thought it would have been.

Moral of this post is I am sooooo pumped that I started this journey and I would love sharing my motivation with anyone and everyone. This is one of the greatest journeys you will ever take and you won't regret it. You'll only lose pounds, inches, and unhealthy habits!

Week 3 & Loving my Team Bombshell

Well I wanted to start Week 3 on a good note so I did a cardio workout at 330 in the morning on my lunch break. 25 mins of running can really wake you up when you're starting to fall asleep. I haven't ran since December and was thinking with P90X I would be working all the same muscles. However, I was feeling some muscles work that haven't been worked too much. Don't get me wrong P90X is amazing in making your muscles work but there were still some that hadn't been in as great of shape as I wanted. So this was a great reminder to me that I need these second workouts to help work all my muscles. I was quite ashamed that I was winded within ten minutes and I wasn't doing a very fast speed. But then again I was almost completely incapacitated all of Janurary and technically I'm only starting my third week straight of P90X. I know I need patience and to keep working hard to see results. I want to feel like Super Woman but Rome wasn't built in a day. My schedule will be slightly messed up and I will not be able to go to bed at 7 am like normal but I'm going to make sure I get my butt up and do Core Synergistics in the evening.

I am so blessed to have the members of Team Bombshell to help push me along and guide me. Every one on the team is so encouraging and always writes positive things. I know I can go to the board anytime with questions and a dozen people will write back. I love all the blogs I get to read. All of them are informative or inspiring, or even both. Kati Heifner has been blogging awesome healthy recipes that are so yummy. I am so thankful to have her as my best friend. She also has been making a ton of video journals, which really shows her dedication and makes me want to push harder. Jennifer McKenzie also has really informative blogs that I love reading when its slow in the middle of the my shift. It's great to have all this information flowing in all around me. And every single member has amazing pictures of their transformations or is showing great dedication while in the process of getting the body of their dreams  Thank you to all the members of Team Bombshell, you are a great support system!!

Week 2 Completed

Though it is 430 am on Wednesday, it is technically Tuesday night to me since my shift is from 2300 hours Tuesday night to 700 hours Wednesday morning. Wednesday is my rest day or X stretch...I'm still debating if I will do the X stretch but I think I'll give it a try since I haven't yet. But whether I do it or not, Wednesday brings the completion of Week 2 to a close! I was so pumped to be working out that I threw in a second workout in tonight (I'll be adding it to Tuesday's calendar). I took my '30' (lunch break) and went to the gym at my station and did the stair climber. I felt the burn. Then I sipped on my Shakeology for a yummy recovery drink. I love doing a second cardio workout on my lunch break when I can fit it in because it helps me get through the rest of my work shift. Plus I feel so happy knowing that I am helping myself get fit and healthy. I know it takes time but these extra workouts will help. And I feel great afterwards. So the nights I work when it's slow, I'll definitely be trying to squeeze in that second workout. This is one of the pluses to night shift.

On a side note...I ordered BRAZILIAN BUTT LIFT!!! Anyone that has every tried it, loves it. I tried it over Kati Heifner's house and I loved it. I was waiting to buy it but I had some spare money and decided I couldn't wait to do it again. So YAY....hopefully it gets here this week.

I found something humorous now that I've been doing P90X....I was going through workout videos I've collected over the years and I found most were 20 mins long. I couldn't help but laugh because I kept thinking 20 mins isn't anything. Before P90x, 20 mins was a long time now it means I'm almost done my workout. Funny how things change. It's also funny to think my Kenpo X days are the easy day of the week even though it's an hour workout. But I love P90x and want/will tell anyone that listens that the program is great for getting into shape, feeling better about yourself physically and mentally, and will change your life.

Bring on Week 3!!!!  :)
